Abstract:
The work devoted to the history of the Stavropol district school (Stavropol'skoe uezdnoe uchilishche). Are considered the problems that are typical for the education system of the Russian Empire in the first half of the nineteenth century. The author has published texts of documents about trying to find a more suitable premises for the Stavropol district school instead the old building.

Abstract:
A generalized method of forming educational and cognitive competences of students in the process of teaching Physics worked out on the basis of a design and technological approach and implemented in a new textbook «Physics – 7» (the authors: M.I. Shut, M.T Martyniuk, L.Yu. Blagodarenko, 2015) is presented in the article. The function of a textbook as a starting point for the construction of a methodical system of forming the generalized educational-cognitive students competences in the process of teaching Physics at basic school is grounded in the article.

Abstract:
Educational and organizational activity of St. Paraskeva’s shelter – an orphanage for girls in Sumy, which existed in 1895–1906. Based on archival documents from Sumy town council of the State Archive of Sumy Oblast (Ukraine) the reasons of negative organization of pedagogical process in the orphanage are found out, as well as the causes of the city authorities noneffect during long time in the of change of material and moral condition of foster children. Great attention is paid to the person of archpriest Theoctistus Lashchenkov – the main character of the conflict, spiked around the shelter, and the author of detailed notes about its existence – the main source of the information.

Critical Thinking Development Technology Among Senior Pupils at Physics Lessons

Abstract:
The article describes the methodological aspects of the technology development of critical thinking among senior pupils at lessons of physics. The article presents the analysis of the structure of the lesson on the development of critical thinking in students. It is shown that the technology is competence-oriented. The analysis showed that the technology of development of critical thinking differs from traditional methods the new role of teacher and student in their joint activity at the lesson. Traditionally, the presentation of material is deposited in the structure – statement, the assimilation of new training material, synthesis, application of knowledge in practice. In this case, the teacher is entirely responsible for the results and direction of the educational process. Therefore, in the conventional training, the main task of the teacher to involve pupils at the stage of presentation of new training material. This goal is difficult to achieve, since the teacher uses methods that consider him only as a subject of study, informant, who reports a certain amount of knowledge. With the development of critical thinking, the student is not the object of learning, not a passive recipient of information with memorization, but the subject of education. He is actively involved in the process of obtaining knowledge through reflection plans its training activities (under the guidance of a teacher). This academic activity contributes to the development of educational-cognitive competence. Therefore, technology of critical thinking development in students is competentness oriented technology training.
